HK alliance hands out 1m free masks

Elderly residents and handicapped people in Hong Kong received face masks for free Sunday. 

A million masks were handed out on a first-come-first-served basis outside the Siu Sai Wan Estate Bus Terminus, according to the organizer, Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link, a community alliance formed on Feb 6 to fight the coronavirus.

Attending the event, legislator Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee and Ko Wing-man, former secretary for food and health, urged joint efforts to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
