BEIJING - China supports all Palestinian factions in achieving reconciliation and increasing solidarity through dialogue and consultation, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

Spokesperson for the ministry Wang Wenbin made the remarks at a regular press briefing when asked about the meeting between Hamas and Fatah in Beijing on Friday, and the role China played in facilitating the meeting, as well as the outcome and the goal of that meeting.

"We support strengthening the authority of the Palestinian National Authority, and support all Palestinian factions in achieving reconciliation and increasing solidarity through dialogue and consultation," said Wang.
