Local audiences were mesmerized when performers from the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe took to the stage at a Yau Ma Tei community center on Tuesday with their dance drama Thousand-hand Bodhisattva.

The renowned performing group, which is on tour in Hong Kong and Zhuhai, has visited several primary schools, universities, and communities in Hong Kong to showcase its popular Dunhuang-themed production.

The dance drama is choreographed with elements inspired by wall paintings at Mogao Caves, a world-famous attraction in China’s Gansu province. It combines intriguing dance moves, immersive live music, and sound effects.

Established in the 1990s, the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe has performed in more than 100 countries and regions across the world, with the aim of amplifying disabled voices and promoting Chinese culture.
