A health official described the situation as "quite worrying" as the number of cases with an unknown origin kept rising

Saturday's figure was slightly down from Friday's 92 — the most since the fourth wave began.

Among the fresh local infections, 48 were linked to a dance cluster, Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection’s communicable disease branch, said at a press conference in the afternoon.

One of them involved a teacher at Canossa College in Quarry Bay. The school will suspend classes for two weeks for disinfection, while all staff and students will be tested for the virus, Chuang said.

The source of origin of 27 local cases remained unknown, Chuang said.

Chuang described the situation as "quite worrying" as the number of cases with an unknown origin kept rising.

All three new imported cases involved domestic helpers from Indonesia.
