Indian border troops seriously violated relevant accords between the two countries and the consensus made at talks between high-ranking officers at the level of group army commander on both sides. They crossed the control line and took provocative actions, Senior Colonel Zhang Shuili, spokesman for the Western Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army, said in a statement on Tuesday evening.

Zhang stressed that the region has always been Chinese territory, and the actions by the Indian side seriously harm bilateral military relations.
