A ministerial forum themed "Bridging the Digital Divide" will be held in east China's river town of Wuzhen on Thursday, serving as a sub forum of the 5th World Internet Conference (WIC).

The sub forum will see more than 20 ministerial officials from 13 countries hold discussions with heads of international organizations including the European Union and internationally renowned experts.
They will analyze the phenomenon and problems of the imbalanced global network infrastructure and technology development level, discuss the role of all sectors at home and abroad to promote pragmatic exchanges and cooperation, provide solutions for narrowing the digital divide between different countries, regions and populations, and work together to build a community with a shared future in cyberspace.

The sub forum is sponsored by China Daily and co-organized by China Internet Development Foundation, China Telecom Group and Zhejiang University.
