WARSAW — Bayern Munich coach Niko Kovac heaped praised for striker Robert Lewandowski who scored in each of the first nine games of the season.

On Saturday the Polish striker led Bayern to win 2-1 over Union Berlin, as he scored his 13th goal in the German Bundesliga season

"He has never played better before," said Croat Kovac on Monday at a press conference.

"For Robert it's the best season of his career. He is in top form, we are second in the table mainly thanks to his goals. I'm so happy that I have Lewandowski in my team. He is experienced player, not a young attacker who needs time to learn some things," said Kovac.

Former Bayern attacker Miroslav Klose also praised Lewandowski in the interview for "Blickpunkt Sport". "He has everything. He is fast and he has feeling in the penalty area. Lewandowski is a world class player," said Klose.

Lewandowski is the fourth Bundesliga all-time top scorer with 215 goals, five goals behind Jupp Heynckes.
