Top anti-graft meeting to be guided by Xi Thought

BEIJING – China's top anti-graft officials will convene from Jan 13 to 15 for the Fourth Plenary Session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, according to a release from a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on Friday.

The country's anti-graft work must be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the release said.

Reform of the disciplinary and supervision system has been pushed forward steadily, and a loyal, clean and responsible anti-graft force has been built, according to the CCDI

The country's anti-corruption agencies must further implement the spirit of the CPC's 19th National Congress and the second, third and fourth plenary sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

The anti-graft officials are required to strengthen their consciousness about the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment, the release said.

They should have full confidence in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, it said.

Anti-graft agencies nationwide should assist Party committees at all levels to boost Party discipline and improve the supervision system of the Party and country to ensure officials dare not, cannot, and will not be corrupt, it said.

It said that under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the anti-corruption agencies nationwide have pushed forward their work steadily and produced new achievements.

The anti-graft agencies have focused on the problems of formalism and bureaucracy, strictly implemented the rules and laws and punished the corrupt activities that directly affect the lives of the people, the release said.

Before the meeting, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, during which he was briefed about this year's work of the CCDI of the CPC and preparation of the commission's session.
