OSAKA - Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived Thursday for the 14th Group of 20 (G20) summit in Osaka, Japan slated for Friday and Saturday.
At the 14th G20 summit slated for Friday and Saturday, Xi will expound China's views and stands on world economy and global economic governance
The visit is at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

During a meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Osaka, the two leaders agreed to further elevate bilateral relations with win-win cooperation and together safeguard multilateralism, free trade and an open world economy.
On the sidelines, Xi is also scheduled to attend a leaders' meeting of the emerging-market group of BRICS, which also includes Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa.
He will also take part in a China-Russia-India leaders' meeting and a China-Africa leaders' meeting, and hold a series of bilateral meetings.
Xi's entourage includes Ding Xuexiang, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; Liu He, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice-premier; Yang Jiechi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee; State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi; and He Lifeng, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the National Development and Reform Commission.
