Li's remarks came as he met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon here in the Tajik capital.
China is willing to continue to work with Tajikistan to lift their comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level.

The traditional friendship between China and Tajikistan is deep, said the premier, adding that the two countries have enjoyed high-level political mutual trust, always respected and supported each other and achieved fruitful results from pragmatic cooperation. The development prospects of bilateral relations and their cooperation are broad.
"China is willing to continue to work with Tajikistan to lift their comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level," said Li, who arrived in the central Asian country Thursday for an annual meeting of heads of government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states and an official visit.
Noting that China and Tajikistan are highly complementary in economy, Li called for joint efforts to further cooperation to better achieve win-win results in cooperation.
China supports capable Chinese enterprises in investing and starting business in Tajikistan and hopes that Tajikistan create more favorable business environment, facilitate customs clearance and improve transportation, Li said, adding that China welcomes high-quality agricultural produce of Tajikistan into Chinese market.
China stands ready to work with Tajikistan and other countries in the region to intensify security and anti-terror cooperation so as to safeguard regional peace and stability, he said.
Rahmon said Li's visit greatly boosted Tajikistan-China ties and cooperation.
Tajikistan appreciates China's support and assistance to its economic and social development and is willing to enhance cooperation with China in areas of transportation, agriculture, energy and infrastructure construction, expand people-to-people exchanges, strengthen communication and coordination in regional affairs as well as anti-terror and law enforcement cooperation, said Rahmon.
When he met with Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda the same day, Premier Li said China and Tajikistan will support each other and seek common development to boost bilateral ties to new levels.
Noting the rapid and healthy growth of bilateral ties and cooperation in all areas at the moment, Li said China stands ready to strengthen the synergy of the Belt and Road Initiative with Tajikistan's development strategy to advance good-neighborliness and practical cooperation across the matrix.

Speaking in details, Li said cooperation in economy and trade and investment must be expanded. Leading and trustworthy Chinese companies are encouraged to invest in Tajikistan in the fields of energy, power, mineral exploitation, industrial capacity and processing.
He said connectivity should be strengthened, with more to be done in transportation, energy, and border infrastructure development. Cooperation on agriculture needs to be expanded, he said, adding that the focus is agricultural processing and import of more high-quality Tajik farm products.
Li also spoke of the need to improve the business environment, strengthen cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and tighten coordination and cooperation under the framework of the SCO.
Rasulzoda told the Chinese premier that Tajikistan is willing to take an active part in building the Belt and Road, enhance bilateral practical cooperation in trade, energy, transportation, agriculture, investment and financing, expand cultural and people-to-people exchanges, among others, to maintain the healthy and steady development of the bilateral ties.
He also said Tajikistan is ready to coordinate closely with China under the SCO framework.
After the talks, Li and Rasulzoda witnessed the signing of documents on political, trade, customs, and local cooperation, and jointly met the press.
This is Li’s visit to Tajikistan. After Tajikistan, he will head for the Netherlands to continue his Eurasian trip which will also bring him to Belgium.
