SHENZHEN — Chinese telecommunications company ZTE Corporation said on Tuesday that it had obtained 25 commercial 5G contracts globally.

The company said it cooperated with 60 mobile operators in the field of 5G, partnering with firms including China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Orange, Telefonica, Italy's Wind Tre and Indonesia's Telkomsel.
The company said 5G is one of its core businesses and it has pursued innovation in 5G technology research. It has filed 3,500 patent applications in 5G.
ZTE said it has cooperated with multiple partners in 5G hardware including smartphones, outdoor and indoor routers, mobile hotspots and data terminals.

Facing robust demand in the technology, the company has actively explored scenarios of 5G application in different industries, it said.
