​China's head coach warns his team against complacency

BANDUNG, Indonesia — China's U-23 team head coach Massimiliano Maddaloni has asked his side to guard against complacency so as to go far in the Asian Games soccer competitions. 

China has qualified for the final 16 after two wins from as many matches in Group C, and Maddaloni was cautious to make sure his players were not carried away by the wins.

"So far I am happy with my players' performance, but we won only two matches, we still have a long to go," the Italian said on Saturday. 

"My players played well. Their form are good and their morale high, but they also exposed some problems which we need to address carefully," he said. 

And rotations are expected to be made to the team in their last group game against the United Arab Emirates on Sunday to avoid injury and disciplanary trouble.

"They have fought two very hard matches, and some of them got yellow cards, so I will make some change to the starting line-up," he said.
