Art historians, architects, and engineers from Italy, Chinese mainland and Hong Kong on Monday gathered to celebrate the work of Leonardo da Vinci - one of the greatest artists in history.
The event was to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the passing of Leonardo da Vinci
Alberto Rocca, director of Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, a time-honored art and culture museum, shared his thoughts on scientific aspects of Leonardo’s works. Researchers from Italy and China discussed Leonardo's impact on modern art and engineering.

There was also a screening of a feature film Being Leonardo da Vinci – An Impossible Interview during the event.
Co-organized by Consulate General of Italy, Italian Cultural Institute and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology(HKUST), the event was to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the passing of Leonardo da Vinci.

Wei Shyy, President of HKUST, Clemente Contestabile, Consul General of Italy and other guests also attended the event.
