HANOI - Vietnam will host the 27th World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN from Sept 11 to 13, with over 800 leaders of businesses, governments, international organizations and media agencies participating, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday.

Themed "ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution," the forum will discuss and find new approaches to regional governance, share countries' experiences in social and economic governance, as well as define new development models for ASEAN economies and shape policies to develop smart infrastructure systems in the region.

Established in 1971 as a non-profit foundation, the Geneva-based WEF is committed to improving the world economy by engaging business, political, academic and other society leaders to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
