Beacon, GPEX launch one-stop Cambridge English learning program

HONG KONG — Beacon College and GPEX signed a collaboration agreement Tuesday to launch a "One-stop Cambridge English Assessment and Systematic Learning Program."

The agreement signing was witnessed by Cambridge Assessment English. 

The program aims to benefit 15,000 local Hong Kong students by 2022

With the agreement signed, Beacon has become the first private education institution in Hong Kong to offer a full range of Cambridge English learning pathway, including the provision of test venues and related courses to students of different age. All courses will be taught by certified Cambridge teachers.

As a leader of private education institutions in Hong Kong, Beacon of BExcellent Group endeavors to contribute to improve the competitiveness of Hong Kong students among international counterparts by providing seamless English learning programs that include continuous assessments and quality education.

The program, also known as "Project 'Assess Advance Achieve'" or simply "Project AAA," aims to benefit 15,000 local Hong Kong students by 2022.

Under Project AAA, students of various ages from pre-school kindergarten to higher secondary school level can benefit by having continuous assessments in different stages according to their individual learning paths. 

"Our mission is that we help people learn English and prove their skills to the world," said Tian Ning, regional operations head of East Asia at Cambridge Assessment English. "We are looking forward to the booming of Project AAA which will bring great benefits to Hong Kong students," Tian added.

Teow Chorng Hoo, managing director of GPEX, said that if the market allows, they may even consider expanding their services to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

GPEX has also made an unprecedented collaboration with Beacon to develop teaching content for a full range of Cambridge English Qualifications courses.

At present, there are two authorized exam centers for Cambridge English Qualifications in Hong Kong. GPEX, an award-winning English Language educational service provider in Malaysia and Hong Kong, is one of them which administers Cambridge Assessment English exams.
