Flower power
Blending light and shadow with Japanese culture, flowers and virtual reality, this super-sized interactive and multi-sensory art installation promises to wow visitors for its enormity and scope. The eight artworks are inspired by the sakura, or cherry blossom, Japan’s most famous flower represented here in giant 360-degree flower world settings that include themed lighting effects, music, fragrance and Japanese poetry. Highlights include a simulation of a panoramic view from atop Mount Fuji and a cherry blossom-inspired installation featured at the 2019 Venice Biennale.
The show was created especially for Hong Kong by Japanese creative director, film actor and director Ryotaro Muramatsu and his Flowers by Naked, a company whose art installations in Tokyo have been widely acclaimed.
