China has said its embassy and consulates in Japan would resume issuing ordinary visas for Japanese citizens.
The decision was announced by the Chinese embassy in Japan on Sunday in a notice and took effect immediately.
The Chinese embassy in Tokyo suspended the issuance of ordinary visas for Japanese citizens on Jan 10 after Japan joined a handful of countries in implementing discriminatory entry restriction measures targeting China.
The Japanese embassy in China on Jan 20 stated its visa operations in China have "already returned to normal" according to changes in the epidemic situation.
