The Ergune River Valley in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, welcomed its first rime this year on the early morning of Monday. The river still flowing as the water is not frozen, the aquatic plants danced with the wind, and the branches of trees alongside the banks were blanketed with white icy frost. The rime is formed when water vapor in clouds or fog rapidly freezes and sticks to cold objects.
