HONG KONG - Hong Kong's health authorities reported five new COVID-19 infections on Saturday, bringing the overall tally to 12,157.

In a statement, the Centre for Health Protection said the newly reported cases were all imported.

They are a 29-year-old woman from the US, a 43-year-old woman from the Philippines, an 18-year-old woman from India, and a man and a woman from Qatar who are aged 18 and 34 respectively. 

They remained asymptomatic. All of them have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, the CHP said.

The woman from the US has stayed at Lan Kwai Fong hotel in Central after her arrival in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, the man from Qatar has resided at Ramada Hong Kong Grand View in North Point, and the woman from India at Regal Oriental Hotel in Kowloon City, according to the CHP.

The center added that a total of 40 cases have been reported in the past 14 days, all of them imported cases.
