HONG KONG - Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport holders may visit Oman without a visa for up to 10 days, the Immigration Department announced on Friday.

The department said it received notification from the Honorary Consulate of the Sultanate of Oman in Hong Kong regarding the latest policy.

Noting that Oman is along the Belt and Road, the department said the visa-free arrangement will bring greater travel convenience to Hong Kong travelers after the COVID-19 pandemic and strengthen the tourism, cultural and economic ties between the two places.

Including Oman, 168 countries and territories have granted visa-free access or visa-on-arrival to HKSAR passport holders.
