BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Faustin-Archange Touadera on his re-election as president of the Central African Republic (CAR).

Noting in his message that the development of China-CAR ties has maintained sound momentum in recent years, Xi said he attaches great importance to bilateral ties, and stands ready to work with President Touadera to promote bilateral friendly cooperation for more achievements, so as to benefit both countries and their people.
